Welcome to the finale of The Gouda Wars Season One!

Twenty cheeses enter. One cheese leaves.

Twenty players have been invited to parcipate in The Gouda Wars Championship! Who do you brie-lieve will win?

  • This is meant to be a fun and competative event! Have fun!
  • Communication with moderators and other players (outside of matches) will be done through the Discord server.
  • Format: Standard Best of 3
  • The tournament starts at 12 PM CST
  • Registration ends 8:00PM CST April 30th
  • Prize support for top 4.

Coverage

  • Participants of this event are required to join the Discord server for when their match will be streamed.
  • There will be coverage of this event on JafferMTG’s channel.

Enjoy yourself!

  • Format: Standard Best of 3
  • Decklists must be submitted by April 30th, 11:59 PM CST
  • If no decklist is submitted, you will be dropped from the event
  • If you are having issues submitting a list, you should let tournament staff know BEFORE May 1st 3:00 AM CST.
  • Tournament starts 12:00 PM CST
  • With there being 20 players, the tournametn will be five rounds with cut to top eight.
  • No intentional draws in this event.
  • Prizes are available to participants 18 years or older and only deliverable via PayPal.

-Time in rounds

  • The time in each round is 50 minutes.
  • You have up to 5 minutes to connect with your opponent and start your match.
  • Coverage matches might have adjusted times.

Technical Issues

  • You as the player are fully and solely responsible for the presence and stability of an internet connection as well as for the stability of your system running MTG Arena.
  • Any types of connection issue, bugs, anything related to your game crashing/not functioning properly is the sole responsibility of the player and will not result in restarting the match.
  • Players should be aware of known issues in MTG Arena.

Streaming for Coverage

  • If you are asked to stream your game on the Discord server, please stream the MTGA window, not your monitor.
  • If you don't stream and would like to participate in broadcasting your matches, this can be done by letting tournament staff know ahead of time. We encourage this so we can provide coverage of the event on Twitch!
  • If you are in the top players, please know you may be required to stream your match via DIscord.

Gouda Wars Championship Prizes

Prize support will be provided to the top four players!

  • 1st $75 USD
  • 2nd $40 USD
  • 3rd - 4th $18 USD

1st place winner will recive a copy of The Cheese Stands Alone signed by JafferMTG.

Cash prizes will be issued via PayPal within five business days. Cash prizes are available to participants 18 years or older and only deliverable via PayPal. No other delivery methods.
