Pauptoberfest 2022

Come one, come all; it's time for another year's Pauptoberfest!

Pauptoberfest is an annual pauper tournament hosted out of Stillwater, OK. There will be beer, grilling, and plenty of games to play if the main event isn't your thing. This year we have the great fortune of using the historic Cottonwood Community Center as our venue (a schoolhouse originally built in 1889!)

  • $15 Tournament Entry

Event Structure

  • Four rounds of swiss then a cut to top four.

To unenroll after you must contact the organizer.

  • Players must be 21 years or older to sign up.
  • Playtest cards are allowed as substitute for official cards but must be full-color printouts sleeved over chaff cards (no black and white playtest cards, please.)

The first round fires at 3PM CDT. Decklist submissions and event registration stops 30min prior to give us time to setup the event.

The organizer has agreed to pay out prizes immediately after the tournament has ended.

Payout is to top four and dependent on attendance. (1 share is usually 1/8th of whatever funds we had leftover after paying event costs.)

  • 1st prize (4 shares)
  • 2nd prize (2 shares)
  • 3rd/4th prize (1 share each)

Bounties

  • The player who places highest (at least top 4) with at least 1x Force Spike or 1x Mana Tithe in their mainboard will be awarded $20 by Chris B.
  • Any player who makes top 4 with 4x Storm Crow in their mainboard will be awarded $50 by Ammon J.

There are additional prizes to be awarded at the event (bounty payouts, donated card giveaways, commemorative playmats, etc.) Stay tuned for official updates on additional prize support.
