Monday Night Magic

Plague League hosts Monday Night Magic every week at 5PM and 8PM Eastern. MNM is free to play and is streamed live each week on the Plague League Twitch channel.

Players

Players who compete in Monday Night Magic bring a wide range of experience and abilities. All players are welcome, from absolute competitive Magic rookies, to seasoned vets with multiple Mythics.

Discord

Players have taken to hanging out in the Plague League's Discord server, and enjoy spending MNM hanging out talking in our General voice channel.

ELORS

Plague League has a custom built ELO Rating System that ranks every player who has ever participated in Monday Night Magic.

Championship Races

Monday Night Magic runs 3 separate championships during our two-month long season.

Overall Championship The overall championship is awarded to the player who, after 2 months of play, has the most accumulated points in that season.

Rookie of the Season The Rookie of the Season is awarded to the player who is considered a Monday Night Magic league rookie, and finishes the season with the most accumulated points.

We define a rookie as any player with 6 or fewer lifetime Monday Night Magic events played going into the first week of the current season.

King of the Mountain The King of the Mountain is awarded to the player with the highest ELORS rating with a minimum of 6 lifetime MNM events.

  1. Players must be registered and decklists submitted by 5:00PM Eastern.
  2. All players must be registered and online in the Plague League Discord server.
  3. Round time limit is 50 minutes.
  4. If all matches in a round are complete, the next round will start early.
  5. Matches can be paired as either a direct challenge or a friend request and challenge.
  6. Match settings: Tournament match (best of 3), Round timer on, coin flip.
  7. No shows: Players have 15 minutes to respond to challenges and begin their match. After 15 minutes a player will be given a round loss and dropped from the event.
  8. If a player disconnects from a match the player that did not disconnect has the choice of replaying the game or taking a game win.
  9. If a player disconnects from a match after the first game is played, or players accidentally play a BO1, a bo3 challenge should be sent, and the player that lost the last game should concede immediately and send the match directly to sideboarding.
  10. Due to time constraints between pods, the 5PM pod is capped at 4 rounds. The 8PM pod will play 5 rounds with 9-32 players.

Each week has 2 start times, the late pod will not start before the early pod ends. Players are encouraged to join both pods.
