Breakdown

Constructed (Wild West) format, 1 game matches (Best of 1), no decklist required, Swiss rounds (max 5)

(17-32 players = 5 rounds, 6-16 players = 4 rounds). 32-player capacity.

This site is in BETA + we are playing a game not currently fully supported. We have permission to run the tournament, however, there WILL be difficulties. Please bare with us, and we will take care of all technical difficulties as quickly as possible.

~ WILD WEST FORMAT means that decklists are NOT required. This means you can change your deck/nation/allied nation EVERY round, and/or ALL the cards in your deck. There is currently no way to enforce decklists/nations through this platform. Be advised some games will be -streamed (w/ delay)- , so other players may be watching you play your deck. You can switch decks/cards as often as you like, or keep playing the same deck ~

We will be exploring options to have decklists enforced in the future AS WELL AS public/open decklists.

Prizing

Prizing will be sent VIA PayPal to anyone who earns CA$H.

PLEASE do not enter this tournament unless you can accept tournament winnings this way. Prize codes will be sent to you VIA chat on mtgmelee after the event.

All $ amounts are Canadian (CAD).

Assuming 32 players:

• 1st - $50 + 2x CODE A + 2x CODE B
• 2nd - $30 + 1x CODE A + 1x CODE B
• 3rd - $20 + 1x CODE A + 1x CODE B
• 4th-8th - 1x CODE B

*Code (A) = 1 Standard Pack, 1 Allegiance Pack, 1 Draft ticket, 60 resources

*Code (B) = 1 Standard Pack, 10 Gold

• 6-15 players = $25 in prizing
• 16-23 players = $50 in prizing
• 24-31 players = $75 in prizing
• 32 players = $100 in prizing

The tournament will happen as long as we get 6 players. If less than 6 players apply, a rescheduled date will be determined. 13x codes will be given out as prizing as long as the tournament happens (regardless of 6 or 32 players).

Schedule

Start time: May 6, 8:00am (EDT - Eastern Time)

Reg. closes 10 min. before the tournament. Please check in before 8:00 AM (recommend 7:45am) Round 1 begins at 8:00am or shortly after. Rounds will take about 20-35min. Please report your game results promptly after finishing, and be active in the player controller to hear the announcement for your next round. (Recommend turning speakers up for vocal announcement)

All functions will be performed in your PLAYER CONTROLLER.

Please, please be on time. If you are more than 5min. late to check-in to a game, and are not chatting with a moderator, you will be DROPPED from the tournament.

Matches

Matches will be posted in the player controller and you will recieve a notification through MTGMelee, a voice notification and/or a text message (activate feature in profile settings.)

!!! IMPORTANT !!! - This website is currently meant to support Magic: the Gathering. When you create your account here (on MtgMelee, in PROFILE), when asked to type in your "MTGA Username" - please input your KARDS username instead.

Username = InGameName#1234 (name + # + 1234)(name + # + number)

You must click "check-in" (green) to enter your match.

To challenge your opponent, add them in KARDS using the Name#1234 for your opponent listed in pairings/player controller. When both players are "friends", one must initiate the challenge by finding that player in your friends list, and challenging them using the "crosshairs" button.

Intentional draws are not allowed.

ARE YOU A STREAMER? EVER WANTED TO TRY?

Remember, even if you do not agree to "feature stream" with us, you STILL may end up on stream as an opponent of a featured player. If you have a good connection, let's talk! I'll be hosting feature matches for all rounds where someone is willing and available. Here's how it works:

Morituri eSports (and GoblinCredible) will be streaming the event on Twitch. YOU open Discord and stream directly into Discord (super easy, I can help you set it up) I will then use screen capture on my streaming software to send out the gameplay from your perspective, with myself adding webcam visual, commentary, logos, updates, etc.

THERE WILL BE STREAM DELAY. My coverage of the event will be set to ~3.5min., so nobody can cheat by watching you on stream while playing against you.

This is a WILD WEST format event, your opponents may be watching! Change your deck, or keep playing the same one! You decide!

Please message us in advance if you are interested in streaming.

MoR Rules! (including tardiness)

If a player does not check-in by 5min. into a round, they will be DROPPED from the tournament. Opponent hasn't shown up? Message me through (MtgMelee) chat, and I'll make sure you're taken care of.

Please make sure that you communicate through MTGMelee (preferred) chat or our Morituri eSports Discord if you have any issues, questions or comments about the tournament! We recommend joining the Discord in case there are issues with the MTGMelee platform.

Primary communication for this tournament will be conducted in ENGLISH. I can try to accommodate language barriers to an extent, but will only be able to communicate effectively/timely in English.

Connection issues, crashes, fails, non-functions, etc. cannot result in a restart.

Unfortunately, if the issue is only reported by one player, that player must accept responsibility as the only fair way to deal with the situation. Please be confident in your connection. We will try to accommodate all other situations appropriately.
