How it Works
Play in any of our nine daily tournaments on Magic Arena to earn store credit and SCG Online Points!
Earn 10 SCG Online Points in a Challenge Period to participate in the next SCG Tour Online Championship Qualifier. Qualifiers award $10,000 in cash prizes and SCG Online Points to all competitors!
Each player that earns at least 100 SCG Online Points during the Championship Season qualifies for the SCG Tour Online 2020 Season One Championship with $25,000 in cash prizes!
SCG Tour Online Challenge Event Information:
Players are required to check-in prior to the start of the event.
8 player minimum
Four (4) rounds of Swiss
4-0: $50 Star City Games Store Credit, 10 SCG Online Points
3-1: $20 Star City Games Store Credit, 4 SCG Online Points
Participation: 2 SCG Online Points
All players with three or more match wins will receive SCG Online Points based on record. All other players receive SCG Online Points for participation.

Eligibilty:
SCG Tour Online Challenge events are open to all players eighteen years of age and older.
Players must have accounts in good standing on MTG Arena, MTG Melee and Star City Games.
Not currently suspended from participating in/on tabletop Magic: The Gathering events, The SCG Tour Online and/or tabletop SCG Tour events
Regional eligibility restrictions also apply, void where prohibited.
Registration:
Registration for all SCG Tour Online events will close 20 minutes prior to each event. No late registrations will be allowed. Remember that MTG Arena user names are CaSE SenSITive.
Decklists
All SCG Tour Online events will require decklists to be imported and submitted via your Player Controller prior to the beginning of an event. Any player who fails to submit a decklist will be dropped from the event.
All SCG Tour Online events will have open decklists. Each round, both your decklist and your opponent's will be available for reference.
Check-In
Players are required to check-in prior to the start of the event. Pre-event Check-In will be open 90 minutes before the event begins. Any Player who fails to check-in prior to the event will be dropped.

Pairings
Pairings will be announced in the form of a notification, voice notification, and SMS notification (if you activate it in your profile settings).
Each round, your Player Controller will update to display your "Current Pairing".
Players are required to "Check-in" to every round. Simply click the green button to check-in to your match.
Matches
Once you've received your pairing, Direct Challenge your opponent using the MTG Arena user name displayed (remember these are CaSe SeNsAtIvE) and the MTG Arena "TOURNAMENT MATCH" challenge option.
At the conclusion of your match, it's recommended that you take a screen shot of your match result. If there are any discrepancies in the match results, an admin may ask you for this as proof of your result. Then submit the match results in your Player Controller. (Intentional draws not allowed)
Each round will be 50 minutes. You will have 5 minutes to check-in and start your matches. You will be dropped if you don't start communicating with an admin or your opponent 15 minutes after round is paired.
Communication
Problem with your match? Use the "Contact Tournament Staff" feature to select your issue and submit your ticket. Our staff will be in contact with you as quickly as possible.
In the event that there is a dispute between players, we may ask for a screenshot or to share your screen through the SCG Tour Online Discord in order to better understand a situation, or as a way to have proof that something is occurring. We also highly-recommend that you take a screenshot of every "Victory" screen showing both players’ names. In the event of a results discrepancy, you may be asked to provide this as proof.
Miscellaneous
Players are fully and solely responsible for the presence and stability of an internet connection as well as for the stability of the system running MTG Arena.
Any types of connection issue, bugs, anything related to your game crashing/not functioning properly will not result in restarting the match.
Players should be aware of known issues in MTG Arena.
