Eternal Weekend has arrived, and thus we congregate to celebrate the best format in Magic. A celebration of bad creatures, bad draw spells, and bad mana!
Come on down to the Sly Fox PGH at the Highline on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 and eat, drink, and game with your friends.
There is no entry fee for this tournament, but you MUST pre-register here. I am on a strict 48 player hard cap! If you don't end up playing, you are more than welcome to come hang out, have a brew, and get your beer blanket started for the cold Pittsburgh winter.
Remember, you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.

With that all said, I invite you to take out your Call of the Herds, dust off your Pernicious Deeds and your Opalescences, prepare your PDFs and sharpen your scissors.
It's time to crown a 2023 Middle School World Champion.
For paper printouts generated for this tournament, participants' names will be displayed using their full real names, irrespective of their profile's name display settings. This specification applies solely to printed materials.
This is the Team Serious Middle School World Championships at Eternal Weekend 2023, or TS:MSWCEW23.
Middle School is an entirely proxy friendly format. FedEx is my LGS, personally. Just make sure the card is legible from a distance and the card has all relevant text/art. I do not want to see sharpies on basics. Print and cut your shit out.
This will be a swiss + 1 tournament. No draws allowed. You will play The Game of Chaos if a round does not finish in time after 5 additional turns.
Round Length will be 45 minutes.
Rules questions will be decided by the whole crew talking it out and Googling.
Rules for the Middle School Format can be found here.
The tournament will start at 12pm SHARP. SHARP. LIKE A GODDAMNED RAZOR.
Get your hungover selves there by 11:30 so we can all hang out and maybe drink a drink before we battle.
SWISS + 1 FORMAT means the tournament ends after the last round of swiss happens. No Top 8.
This place does not have great parking, so think about ridesharing down there. I've not had great success finding a spot to park in this part of the South Side.
I have prizes for First, Second, and Third place.
Following the usual Middle School tournament practice, bring a card to get signed by everyone at the tournament! I will have sharpies and stamps for personalization.
I have a prize for the last place finisher that sticks it out to the end of the tournament.
I have a prize for the most creative deck of the tournament, to be consensus voted on by the tournament participants.
