Tournament Structure

Format: Standard, Best of 3

OPEN DECKLISTS - PLAYERS THAT DID NOT SUBMIT THEIR DECKLIST BEFORE ROUND 1 WILL BE DROPPED.

Use MTG Arena "TOURNAMENT MATCH" challenge option

• Phase 1: 4 rounds of swiss, players with 9 or more points advance. (Points on phase 1 counts to advance on phase 2 and 3 so a 4-0 results is very good)
• Phase 2: 3 rounds of swiss, top32 players with more points advance to the playoffs.(Total points: P1+P2)
• Phase 3: Playoffs with single elimination. Higher seed chooses play or draw.

We'll have a 10 min break between each phase

Prize Pool* (USD):

• 1st: $200 + Visit Latam package+

• 2nd: $200

• 3/4th: $100 each

• 5-8th: $50 each

• 9-16th $25 each

• Prizes will be in Gift Cards converted in your local currency in a Store in one of the following countries: Brazil, Bolivia, Panama, Paraguay or Peru. If you live in another country, any prize you get will be donated to Doctors without borders (msf.org).

• Players from North America will get their prizes as gift cards at https://mtgproshop.com/

• If the champion streams the whole event, they will get 2 flights in the Latam Package instead of one. To be eligible to get the bonus, the player need to link their twitch account to mtgmelee.com and stream the whole event. The streamer can give away the second flight to whoever they want (including giving away to Subs or something like that).

• +Visit Latam Package grants to the winner flight + hotel to attend the Latam Magic Series Finals of their choice in the second semester of 2020. We will have an event in Brazil and pending confirmation for the events in Peru and Chile. Conditions: Flight needs to cost under $500. If all the three options cost more than $500, the cheaper destination will be given to the winner (with a 5% tolerance in the flight ticket). Must have a valid passport and visa when applied. The invite to play the Latam Finals isnt included but the player can qualify playing local qualifiers or at the Last Chance Qualifiers.

Rules:

• Players that didn't submit the decklist before the tournament starts will be dropped.

• Everything happens in your "Player Controller" page. Pairings will be announced in the form of a notification and your player controller page will display your pairing in the "Current Pairing" section.

• You must click the green button to check-in to your match.

• Your opponent’s decklist will display in the bottom left corner.

• Challenge your opponent using the MTG Arena screen name displayed and the MTG Arena "TOURNAMENT MATCH" challenge option.

• Submit your Match result. (Intentional draws not allowed)

• Matches wont be restart by any circunstances. If a player loses their connection during a match and cant come back in time to finish, they will lose the match.

• You will have 10 minutes to check-in and start your matches. You will be dropped if you don't start communicating with an admin or your opponent 10 minutes after the round is paired. Pay attention to all notifications throughout the tournament.
