How it works
The Battle Hardened event is an open entry event where players can participate for their share of $2,000, a Pro Tour Invite (PTI) and a Curated Gold Cold Foil Legendary Card.
Battle Hardened Event Structure
Players will draft Uprising then play three (3) Swiss rounds before being podded by record for a second draft. Players will draft again and play an additional three (3) Swiss rounds followed by a cut to single elimination Top 8 draft.
Registration
- Registration for all events at FAB Nationals will close 10 minutes prior to each event.
- Players who enter the event after the event has begun will be enrolled with a Loss for their first round.
- Players must have their GEM ID in their Melee.gg profile in order to enroll.
Decklists
- Pool lists will be submitted on paper following each draft.
- Pool lists that are not submitted on time will be subject to Tardiness penalties.
To unenroll after you must contact the organizer.
All FAB Nationals tournaments will be run according to the Flesh and Blood Tournament Rules.

Pairings
- Pairings will be available in your Profile on the Flesh and Blood offical website.
- It is each Player's sole responsibility to find their pairings and report to their matches for the beginning of each round of their events.
Matches
- Round length will be determined by event type.
- It is the responsibility of the winner of any given match to ensure that the result is reported and recorded correctly. However if either player notices a discrepancy between the actual result of the match, and the reported match result, they must bring the error to the attention of a tournament official immediately.
Eligibility
- Players must have accounts in good standing with MTG Melee, Legend Story Studios, and Star City Games.
- Players must not be currently suspended from participating in Flesh and Blood events and/or Star City Games events.
- Regional eligibility restrictions also apply, void where prohibited.
Registration closes at 8:50 am on September 25th, 2022.
The first draft will begin at 9:00 am on September 25th, 2022.
Players will register all of their drafted cards and then play three (3) Swiss rounds.
The second draft will begin at the conclusion of Round Three (3).
Players will register all of their drafted cards and then play three (3) Swiss rounds.
Cut to a Single Elimination Top 8 at the conclusion of the Swiss rounds.
Top 8 players will draft and then play a single elimination bracket to determine the winner.
The organizer has agreed to pay out prizes in 30 days or less.
Top 8 Prizes:
1st: $500.00, Professional Tournament Invitation, Curated Gold Cold Foil Legendary, Battle Hardened Series Exclusive Playmat
2nd: $500.00, Professional Tournament Invitation, Battle Hardened Series Exclusive Playmat
3rd-4th: $250.00, Battle Hardened Series Exclusive Playmat
5th-8th: $125.00, Battle Hardened Series Exclusive Playmat
9th-16: 1,000 Prize Wall Tickets
17th-32nd: 750 Prize Wall Tickets
33rd-64th: 500 Prize Wall Tickets
1st and 2nd place finishers receive a PTI that can be redeemed for entry into any future professional Flesh and Blood event that requires an invitation (National Championships, any future Pro Tour or the World Championships)
