How it works

The Battle Hardened event is an open entry event where players can participate for their share of $2,000, a Pro Tour Invite (PTI) and a Curated Gold Cold Foil Legendary Card.

SCG CON Battle Hardened Event Structure

Participants will receive six (6) packs of Uprising to build a deck. Players will then play 8 Swiss rounds after which there will be a cut to a Single Elimination Top 8 Uprising draft.

Registration

  • Registration for all events at SCG CON will close 10 minutes prior to each event.
  • Players who enter the event after the event has begun will be enrolled with a Loss for their first round.
  • Players must have their GEM ID in their Melee.gg profile in order to enroll.

Decklists

  • Sealed Pools and selected heroes will be registered at the beginning of this event.

To unenroll after you must contact the organizer.

All SCG CON tournaments will be run according to the Tournament Rules for their respective game systems:

Flesh and Blood Tournament Rules

Pairings

  • Pairings for SCG CON Flesh and Blood events will be available in your Profile on the Flesh and Blood offical website.
  • It is each Player's sole responsibility to find their pairings and report to their matches for the beginning of each round of their events.

Matches

  • Round length will be determined by event type for every event at SCG CON.
  • It is the responsibility of the winner of any given match to ensure that the result is reported and recorded correctly. However if either player notices a discrepancy between the actual result of the match, and the reported match result, they must bring the error to the attention of a tournament official immediately.

Eligibility

  • Players must have accounts in good standing on MTG Melee and Star City Games.
  • Players must not be currently suspended from participating in/on tabletop Flesh and Blood events, SCG Tour Online events and/or tabletop Star City Games events.
  • Regional eligibility restrictions also apply, void where prohibited.

Registration closes at 9:20 am on July 10th, 2022.

Deck Building begins at 9:30 am on July 10th, 2022.

8 Swiss Rounds.

Cut to a Single Elimination Top 8 draft at the conclusion of the Swiss rounds.

The organizer has agreed to pay out prizes in 30 days or less.

  • 1st: $500.00, Pro Tour Invitation, Curated Gold Cold Foil Legendary, Battle Hardened Series Exclusive Playmat
  • 2nd: $500.00 + Pro Tour Invitation, Battle Hardened Series Exclusive Playmat
  • 3rd-4th: $250.00, Battle Hardened Series Exclusive Playmat
  • 5th-8th: $125.00, Battle Hardened Series Exclusive Playmat

Additional Prizes for non Top 8 Players are based on record.

Eight (8) wins – Top 8 Seven (7) wins – 700 Prize Wall Tickets Six (6) wins – 500 Prize Wall Tickets Five (5) wins – 300 Prize Wall Tickets Four (4) wins – 200 Prize Wall Tickets

  • 1st and 2nd place finishers receive a PTI that can be redeemed for entry into any future professional Flesh and Blood event that requires an invitation (National Championships, any future Pro Tour or the World Championships)
